Hi Sunflower23

My heart goes out to you so much as you feel such deeply challenging and tormenting emotions. To say it's not easy to manage the kind of emotions that can feel depressing, feel sickening, feel stressful and more can be an understatement. The way they can turn into an intensely swirling dark tornado of mixed emotions can be so incredibly overwhelming at times, that's for sure.

While it can be easy to see through our mind's eye/imagination what is the best way through a challenge, there are times where I can relate to being completely 'blind' to the best or easiest way. Those times where we can only see the worst scenario or can't see a damn thing at all just adds to the torment. As a 56yo gal, it's taken me literally decades to hit on the revelation 'I need a seer', someone who can see for me at times. This will be someone who can relate to my experience and has managed that kind of experience themself or someone who's basically a visionary or someone who's somewhat educated when it comes to how to navigate through the most challenging territories on our life path. These will be people who typically shed light as well, on top of navigating. We can't always see clearly what we're dealing with (why we behave in the ways we do, why we feel in the ways we do, why we suffer, how other people factor into our challenges, how we got to where we are etc). While considering the best guide, someone who lights the way while helping navigate, the question becomes 'Who is the best guide or who are the best guides for me at a time where I just don't know how to live anymore?'.

Not every person we come across who wants to help will be the best guide for us. Based on my own experience, you can typically feel who are the right ones. They won't feel depressing, the complete opposite. They won't feel degrading, on the contrary. They won't feel judgemental, more open minded instead. While they respect our sensitivities, they will respectfully help us gain a clear sense of the way forward. I hope you begin to find the best guides, while RisingPhoenix84 offers a list of possibilities to choose from. Coming here to the forums may be the start you need. I hope so. I've found so many people here who are inspiring, uplifting, open minded and sensitive. I hope we are able to help begin shedding some much needed light for you, even if it's just a little to begin with. A little can go a long way when everything just feels so dark.❤️

I don’t want to keep living my life.
All the things I’ve suppressed over time hasn’t gone away. I can’t see a way through. I’m embarrassed and ashamed. Really struggling. Want this suffering to end.

Hi there,

It sounds like you are having intense emotions and heavy thoughts right now. Thank you for reaching out.

I sense that you really need social and emotional support right now to navigate these complex feelings.

I encourage you strongly to reach out to a family member, friend, doctor or therapist and seek counselling to provide that emotional and social support.

Please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 where support is also available to unpack some of these heavy feelings and thoughts.

Suppression of these thoughts and feelings can often make things a lot worse, where ultimately, they are seeking healing and connection with self and with other. I know the past can feel heavy at times. Please know you are not alone and there is support available and as heavy as it feels right now there is always hope. Sending you love, care and so much virtual support Sunflower 🌻
