Dear Myahlove, here I am again.

Most of us here have been in that rut. And we use our accounts to advise others like yourself.

There has been countless times I've felt like doing something seen as extreme. Leaving home and living in the bush, zero contact with others etc. I even did a plan once about it. My plan consisted of the difficulties in retreating into the bush.

The first thing was that I would not have any earnings. So how would I buy a cream if I had skin problems? tools for hunting etc - you get the picture. This led me to seeking a "balanced" approach, a more logical and intelligent answer.

Let's start with talking to people. You want to eliminate talking to everyone. This seems a defensive mechanism but the reasons I'll leave to the pro's. Try to seek a happy medium for you. It isnt realistic to eliminate all talking. I went through a period whereby I wanted to act mute so I didnt leave myself vulnerable to others. This was indeed a defense from cruel people that throw their nasty comments at you without warning. I get hurt easily, am super sensitive, so am open slather to those that abuse, often those people sense a weaker personality. In the meantime I've also developed a plan of attack. When someone takes up the nasty comment I hit back now and challenge their tone of voice. etc. So I've developed a two pronged answer to some people.

I've done a lot of cognitive therapy. This is where I've attended consultations to learn ways to tackle certain situations that I didnt learn as a child. Like Street wisdom. How to defend myself with few words. Always asking questions if I dont get clarity etc. Basic stuff. You might benefit from this sort of training.

As for getting out of bed I have never had that issues with my troubles. Again, as mentioned in my other post on another thread- chat with your GP. They are the lifeline to present and future health and referrals that can be so beneficial. Dont feel embarrassed or shamed....its all for the betterment of your life.

I was just wondering how do other people deal with the crushing feelings? Like, Why should I get out of bed? Why should I clean? Why should I leave the house? Why should I talk to other people?

I'm struggling to deal.....x

Hi Myah
I can’t recall writing to you before, so I will welcome you as well – and like GA said to you in another thread – the ‘sorry’ word is mostly banned on this site. In that, no-one should ever feel as though they need to say sorry for anything. This site is for care, advice and support and above all, no-one is judged – and I did notice you said something about posting too often. Um, if there was an award for that, perhaps I’d be right up there – but the thing about it IS: post all you like. Post as often as you want – either replying to others, or creating your own. That’s what this place is all about.
Myah, I’m sorry I haven’t read up on your other post at all – but can you just quickly let me know if you’re receiving professional assistance (GP or psych?) and are you on any meds for your illness?

Getting out of bed is a huge thing to achieve, I think for most of us each day.

Now to answer your next two, I would leave the house if it wasn’t clean. Ok ok, just jokes. 🙂 But the next two are really only things that you can answer – cleaning can always wait. Getting out of the house – well, that depends I guess, on whether there are things that you’ve got to leave the house for? Shopping perhaps – work perhaps? GP appointment?

With regard to talking to people – yeah, that’s a big issue as well – and that’s why I love computer and email. I would much rather converse this way, than to have to talk. I find it stresses me no end to have to talk.

I hope I’ve provided ‘something’ for you in this post and do look forward to hearing back from you.

Kind regards

Neil
