I’m struggling I’m a 23 year old male aith

my plans no friends and I’m stuck at home all day I really would just like someone to see n have a coffee with and have good conversations I just wanna feel important and get out there I have no car no savings no life plans n just wanna know I’m not alone

I feel the same way, im 23 F , im weeks away from turning 24 and I'm so lonely. I want so desperately to have friends I can talk to about my life and I get along with a lot of people but I don't feel like im anyone's friend. I'm sad all the time and I have no life and no interests. Idk what I'm going to do

Hi Maggie do you have any family members around or any siblings that’s all I have n I rely on them it’s definitely not the same but it’s a start I’m struggling so much and I understand where you’re coming from

i am many decades older and sometimes have feels of not fitting in. One thing I know is things will change . Do either of you have an interest where you can meet people. I walk a lot and meet people on my walks. I have made a friend by just saying hello.

Hi I’ve tried meeting people online it just doesn’t feel the same I need to be busy but I don’t have a car or a job I’ve tried everywhere near me I just feel so alone and I can’t keep living like this I work out at home every night as there are no gyms around me I also struggle with anxiety pretty badly which doesn’t help with this right now

Do you think you could get a job? Working is the only thing I have in my life it feels like sometimes. While that's not amazing it's still good to feel needed in that regard.

I’ve applied to literally every shop around me I live in a small town with not a lot of options and I’ve even tried neighbouring towns but nothing I know it sounds like just excuse but I’m trying and I’m so scared my anxiety is gonna take control by the time I’ve got something

Sorry to hear that things are so difficult for you.

What has helped me when I had a lot of free time and had no future plans was to join a community group. I found going to church helped a lot - you don't need to become a Christian. Just being around a community will make a difference with how you are feeling.

Scott have you tried volunteering at somewhere that interests you and you would maybe enjoy. I can see you are trying and it is frustrating for you. I volunteer at a local op shop but that wouldn’t suit everyone.

I am a 32 year old male. I used to feel lost and confused and worst of all left behind. I was jusding myself against the others I knew.

Now I have a job, wife, house, and when I look back I realise that I was the only one criticising myself - everyone goes at their own pace. Sometimes I even wish I could go back to those times.

The biggest thing in my life that helped was a stable office job. A routine and a feeling that I was accomplishing something.

You may find it hard to find work, and without a car must be difficult as well. I think that these things will come in time as your life continues, and you can't be too frustrated with yourself. Focus on a goal and try and achieve it. A stable job, as well as a car for the feeling of freedom, will help. Don't be frustrated if it doesnt happen right away. All things will work out in time, brother.
