Thanks for your reply Louanna! It's hard I feel like everyone around me is so excited for me and I live alone so I tend to stew in the worries lol 🥲 but I have talked to my parents and got it off my chest a bit more, I think not being stuck inside and going out to do things might help too so thankyou for your kind words and advice! 💖

Hoping it gets easier for both of us as time goes on ☺️

Hey all!

First post here, I'm just struggling with some pretty intense anxiety at the moment 🥲

I just recently bought an apartment and moved in this month after renting the same place for 5 years, there have been a few small issues in the new apartment I've fixed and its been busy and stressful but the apartment is a lot bigger and it is better than my old one.

I just cant stop crying all the time, I feel on edge 24/7 when I'm here, and my cat/hobbies I have been trying to do/engage with in the new place just aren't bringing me as much comfort as I thought and im constantly getting distracted by worries.

I have ADHD and pretty intense anxiety and my therapist is on leave currently, I just want to know if anyone else has gone through this and how they managed to get through it/stop bawling my eyes out every hour I spend here 😢

I live alone and have gone from being someone who loved time off on my own in my house playing games to pacing the new place and crying and feeling anxious and overwhelmed all the time 🥲

Sorry for the dump, if anyone has any thoughts or tips please let me know! 💖

Hi Peachy,

I’m so sorry you’re going through this — I’m in the same boat right now and it’s hell. I just bought a house with my partner of 9 years and I’ve been riddled with anxiety ever since (it’s been like 4-5 months now). I understand the feeling of being anxious and overwhelmed all the time, and crying your eyes out. I’m the same! I’ve been crying every day now for more than a week straight, it’s ridiculous.
While your therapist is on leave, is there anyone else you can confide in? I’m lucky I’ve been able to talk to my mum a lot — is there someone you could let it out to? I’ve found sometimes just talking out your worries (or even getting them onto paper) can somehow make them feel less overwhelming.

I’m sorry I don’t have better advice. I truly hope you turn a corner soon and start to enjoy your new home. I know how debilitating these feelings are, so I really hope you start to feel better soon. Sending you lots of love. You can do it. 🩷

Hi Peachy,

I’m so pleased to hear things are better for you these days, and I hope that continues! It definitely is hard when it feels like others are so excited for you, but all you can feel is anxiety! I can definitely relate.

If I’ve learnt anything in the last few weeks, it’s that we just have to keep waking up and putting one foot in front of the other, even when things feel hard. Ultimately it’s true what they say - that things do get better in time.

Sending you lots of love. Don’t hesitate to reply again here if you’d like to chat. ☺️

All the best. X
