Hello mmenin,

Great to have you posting on the forum, and really hope to hear back from you.

As Geoff has mentioned, it would be really beneficial if you could provide a bit more of your story. Two main reasons exist for asking you to do this:

1) It will provide community members with more information about what you're going through and they will be able to relate to you much more readily, meaning they will be able to provide more insight into replies, and...

2) The second most helpful thing I have discovered that reduces my own anxiety and the frequency/impact of its presence in my life is talking about it. 🙂

Come on back and talk a little more; it may just be the catalyst for change, and this community is one place where anything you say about how you feel is actually a positive rather than a risk to your wellbeing.

I'm a big believer in looking after ourselves too. Good exercise and health has been the number one thing that has helped me. Just with out mind, our body responds to what we expose it to also; the old adage of 'Junk in, junk out' that is often used for our thinking and mood works just as well for our bodies too! Granted, a raw broccoli salad isn't as nice as a cheeseburger, but the amount of good it does us is worth the trade! 🙂 A session in the gym may hurt whilst we do it, but the feeling of relaxation and wellbeing two hours after you finish is the most natural anti-depressant on the market. A solid 40k bike ride (NO lycra needed!!!) is awesome for improving our lactate threshold and increasing our aerobic ability. A karate class makes all our worries disappear for a good two or three hours as we focus the mind and learn from the art.

Anyhow, I'll get off my hobby horse now and just encourage you to come back and keep talking.

Hope to hear from you soon.
