Hello and a warm welcome to the forums.

As Tony says we can't diagnose you as we're not qualified, however, if you have the same symptoms then we can suggest from the question you have asked us ' is this <G class="gr_ gr_128 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="128" data-gr-id="128">obsessive compulsive</G> disorder (OCD), well I have this illness and obsessions continually haunt me every day.

It would be best to see your doctor, as I take medication for this illness and they may refer you on to a psychologist using the 'mental health plan', which entitles you to 10 Medicare paid sessions.

Hope to hear back from you.

I have struggled a lot recently. I have an obsession with seeking reassurance, needing to know that something bad isn't going to happen - for example, earlier in the year, I became fixated with the idea of what happens after we die and constantly seeking reassurance from people that it isn't the end, et cetera. I also like to keep things perfect - e.g., dented my brand new MacBook Pro 5 or so months ago and have been unable to get it out of my head. I also am obsessed with looking perfect/hate any blemishes on myself. Is this possibly obsessive compulsive disorder?

Hi, welcome

Your obsessions and fixations are quite common. As far as diagnosis is concerned we cannot do that here.

I have had bouts of anxiety whereby such fixations have caused quite a mess with my life. I had a therapist teach me different ways of dealing with it.

So start with a GP visit and seek a referral.

Also google

Beyondblue topic anxiety, how I eliminated it.
