Pineapplepip, your apprehension I’m seeking new jobs and putting yourself out there is normal. Seeing as your last role lasted 5.5 years, it’s not unusual to feel that way. I was searching for jobs with varying levels of anxiety, and found that I needed grounding, or something tangible to hold on to. For me, applying for a set number of jobs and defining my next role helped me get through a lot of that anxiety and uncertainty. I was looking towards more senior roles that I wanted to work in, but at the same time applying for roles that I was adept in. This gave me positive motivation for the job search and helped me navigate through any anxiety I had because I felt that I was actively doing something about it. Hope this helps you Pineapplepip, all the best in your job search 🙂

I’ve been lucky in the past that jobs have come to me, so i haven’t had to deal with anxiety over job hunting (just anxiety in the rest of my life).I’ve been with my current company for 5.5 years and I’ve lost all my career self esteem during that time. I want to find something new but don’t feel like any other company or industry would want me.

it comes at a time where I’m quite vulnerable, I just got my depression somewhat under control but now my anxiety is skyrocketing.

Dont know what I’m asking, I’m just a bit lost 😞
