    <description>So i have been struggling with depression/anxiety for 10 years now. I have gone through so many jobs and left the job in the wrong way because i was scared to speak up,  as i couldn't take it anymore i just left job after job, theres many gaps of time on my resume showing i've done nothing. Its gotten to the point where i am scared to take another job because i'm scared  i cant handle it and its just more bad reputations i am doing to myself. Ive tried many medications, pyschologists. I feel like my life as the years go by are getting worse and worse its hard to see it getting better, since i havent been able to hold a job ever for more then a few months. I just want to keep a job, Its also taking its toll on my partner, he supports me but he doesn't earn much himself. He never complains but i'm so sad that i'm not contributing, and i just want to know how if any techniques helped others with this situation and if anyone is in the same position i am.</description>

&lt;P&gt;You may feel lost however you are never alone where anxiety is concerned&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Good on you for having the courage to post...Thats a huge step towards recovery &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I understand as I &lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt;used&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt; to have chronic anxiety that started when I was 23....and its not a nice place to be in. Please dont feel guilty or bad that you are not earning a consistent income. Diagnosed anxiety can be crippling not to mention doing well in your job at the same time.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Diagnosed anxiety disorder does take time to heal....unfortunately. There are many coping techniques available which are very helpful, however there is no quick fix. &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You are very proactive by seeing a counselor and having tried meds too. Ditto here&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The Good News!.....&lt;EM&gt;Anxiety feelings/symptoms do decrease in their severity with frequent counseling...monthly is good...fortnightly is great...and weekly (if possible) is excellent!&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I also went through a few jobs with my anxiety too but was only kidding myself having counseling every 6-8 months...It never really worked (for me)&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;May I ask you how severe your anxiety actually is? Do you have daily panic (anxiety) attacks or in certain situations? If you can provide a little extra info we can help support you more effectively &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;HI anita and welcome.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I know personally how bad anxiety can be. I myself have also seen a lot of psychologists. I found one recently I click with but it doesn't eliminate the problem. It just helps me deal with them better than without their help. &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Alhtough I am not in the same position you are in, I do know how you feel. I feel super anxious sometimes at work, especially in new jobs. I have had a few jobs in the last few years, but I have had a lot of long term jobs too. I find sometimes organizing more appointments to see the psychologist near my first shift and in my first month useful. I talk about my fear of the new job, and they help me get through it. Maybe this could be something you could try. Note you may need to set aside 1-2 of your mental health plan visits to this time&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I also sometimes try meditation. I find sometimes my racing mind can be the main issue with my anxiety. I find that it helps stop my racing mind. I also use some of the techniques I learned in my meditation in my work life. I try block everything out when I am super stressed. Maybe you should give meditation a try. It can't hurt. I do it at home just before bed using a phone app. I have been using the free section of an app called 'calm'. I have also heard good things about 'headspace', 'smiling minds' etc. &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I hope this advice will be helpful for you. I know it is hard and it seems like it will never get better, but I found with time it gets easier. &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi Paul thankyou for your response it is  very appreciated. My anxiety is bad daily. I some times wake up in a panic, i have panic attacks daily &amp;amp; sharp pains in my chest when i do. I have irrational thoughts. I feel stressed a lot of the time along with depression. I really just want to work and live a normal life. I try really hard to get jobs, but keeping them for some reason is something i cant do. Thankyou for sharing your experience, to hear you " used " to have anxiety gives me hope. Im glad its a thing of the past for you.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
