HI all,

I am thinking of getting a dog, I really think it would be good for my anxiety . Like a companion dog.

I am lucky that I will be able to take him or her to work and my kids love the idea. A friend is going to have a

litter with their JR but just have to wait.

Any pros and cons to my thoughts other then handling the first 3 months of puppy stuff?

Do it! We have a mini fox terrier and boy, she is everything to us. We take her caravanning and forgo National parks so we are with her.

Great company. Good distraction and help with self worth.

Hey Tony - we also go caravanning a fair bit and have to take into account.

But seems a lot of van parks allow dogs now. Also the kids are getting older and

they will get a stage were my son might not come as much so the JR will be company

for him while at home!

Im really keen and and cant wait!

Hi Spud, a great choice, the one left is a JR mixed with ? but mainly JR, and the last one I had was also a JR, I had her for 18 years, she slept with me and followed me everywhere just like the one in the photo.

A ball is what they will chase all day and once it is toilet trained it can go with you to work, no trouble at all, just try and take it to puppy training, the course isn't long or you can train it at home.

Take it outside every 5 or 10 minutes to toilet train it, especially after eating, and at night out a couple of times.

Put in a doggie door and encourage it to go through with a ball on the other side and gently push it through the door after eating and at night, it will quickly learn.

Spot on Spud, great choice, both of mine have been females and both desexed.

Get them used to you playing with their toes, so cutting their toenails won't be a problem later on and the same with water.
