topic Positional Dizziness / Positional Hypotension using or upping antidepressant meds? in Anxiety

Hello AnotherOne12 and welcome,

In a nutshell yes I have experienced dizziness as a side effect from SSRI medication when my dose has been increased.

However...

Here we are talking very generally (med names are not permitted) so it would be a good idea to check with your pharmacist or GP whether this is a common side effect of your medication and what to expect.

I like asking the pharmacist because I take a few meds for multiple conditions and if you book an appointment they can check any potential drug interactions.

Another important factor I find is some meds should be taken with food or other requirements. I find often if I feel dizzy or experience nausea or headaches it is usually because I haven't eaten. Worth checking too.

If you find the symptoms too distressing please return to your doctor. There are other options you can try.

Recently started using a low dosage and all seemed well. After two weeks commenced uping the dose and noticed dizziness and when I went from one position to another, felt really shaky light headed. Anyone else with these side effects? Just wanting to see if its a general effect that people experience. Thank you
