topic Panic outside class in Anxiety

Hi Roobot,

I think everyone has times where they just can't find the energy/motivation/drive/courage etc. to make it to a workout, so try not to be too hard on yourself.

I have tried myself to set goals such as to meditate/do breathing exercises every day, but some days I just don't feel like it. I know that if I start getting upset or mad with myself for not doing it, it just makes my anxiety worse. So i try to accept that there's just some days I'm not going to feel it, so I don't force it.

Maybe on days where you don't feel up for the Zumba you could think of a bit of a 'back up plan'. Maybe you might go home and do a walk around the block, do some light stretches or take a relaxing bath if you're after some anxiety relief.

I try to do a Zumba class twice a week. I never want to go but feel good when it's over. Usually I'll just tell myself, I'll dress for it, drop the kids at school and then if I still don't want to go I'll come home. Then I find myself pushing through.

Today was the first time I didn't go. I sat outside for a bit in tears then came home.

Feeling a bit defeated
