I am sorry to hear what you are going through, stilesstilinski. Did you change to a new school for Year 7? It can be difficult to adjust to a new environment. There are simply too many possible stressors, like studies and peers. I would suggest that you talk to someone about that, like your parents and school counsellor. It would also be worthwhile to see your GP. Your GP can prescribe you medication and/or refer you to a therapist.

Take care and get well soon.

Anxiety causing nausea

Hi stilesstilinski and welcome to the forums. Unfortunately nausea and anxiety can go together. This is because the nervous system is over stimulated. What I found helped for me was to have a salada or dry cracker. I would also re-assure myself that I was just anxious and having this cracker and a bit of quite time to myself would help. Now this is something you can try however the real issues is the anxiety and unfortunately the nausea may continue if you don't address the anxiety.

Have you seen someone about your anxiety? Maybe you could see the school counsellor? I also thought I should suggest a youth mental health service called headspace. They see a variety of people from anxiety, depression, etc. It is a free service for those aged 12-25. I'll put the web link below. I went there myself and I found it very comfortable as it is youth oriented. The staff are easy to talk too. They helped me address my anxiety and help me complete uni and stop letting anxiety dominating my life. If you don't want to go into a centre they also have an online service. If this doesn't sound for you, you could always see your GP and get a referral to someone from there. www.headspace.org.au

I have (not necessarily diagnosed but looking back) since I was 11. I know how frustrating it is to deal with. But it does get better and easier to manage however I found I couldn't do it alone. I needed help. I am no longer ashamed to ask for help. If I had a sore throat I would see the doctor so why not do the same for my mental health.

Hope this has been helpful. Please keep me updated. Also feel free to ask me any question. I am an open book
