Hi All;

It has been a 4 year journey through the jungles of anxiety and depression that we all try and navigate. During the majority of this time, I have been single and used this time to work on myself.

I have now entered a space where I would like to spend time with someone and explore the possibility of a relationship. To be honest I never thought I would say this again.

Can people share with me, how they have navigated this? How they dealt with it? What is the benefits and consequences of entering the dating scene? How did they not sabotage the possibility of a friendship that looked at becoming something more? Is there reading material on this subject?

Would love your thoughts and ideas.

I myself battled through a lifelong journey of anxiety, Childhood, in marriage (divorced once) and outside of marriage.

the key thing I learnt now in my current relationship, is to be yourself. Anxiety for me, made me become a person, who I look back on now - wasn't the true me because I would hide behind a wall of fear, whether it be of rejection, self doubt any many countless issues

the right person will always be attracted to the person you are. So be who you are.

As for my own experience, my new relationship happened without me searching. And so happened right when I feel i won my own battles,We happened to be at the right time at the right place and shared common experiences / likes and hobbies. So I can only say, continue on with what you do in your daily life. Create new friendships, hobbies etc that surround who you are.
