    <description>&lt;P&gt;I have the biggest fear of flying and first thing in the morning I'm flying!! I'm so scared! &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Yesterday at work I had a huge panic attack at work. I was shaking, spinning, shallow breathing, heart pumping out of my chest and threw up so much I ended up coughing up blood and pulling veins around my eyes. &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Today I had to take another day of work because I'm still being ill and not breathing right. &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Does anyone have and good tips to flying that is not deep breathing as that makes me worse. &lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;UL&gt;
    &lt;LI&gt;slow breath in from nose and gently exhale through your mouth&lt;/LI&gt;
    &lt;LI&gt;If you have the time...(and your GP agrees) a light anti anxiety med will help....see your doc..a good move&lt;/LI&gt;
    &lt;LI&gt;let the flight attendant know that you are really nervous....as well as venting..you have just blown off steam and she will look after you since she will be aware.&lt;/LI&gt;
    &lt;LI&gt;&lt;EM&gt;distraction time...find as many distractions as you can prior to and on the plane...videogame...watch a movie....have a look at a website on anything...example...animal rescue... and have a read.&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;
    &lt;LI&gt;no heavy..deep breathing through mouth.....slow...breathing through your nose then exhale through mouth&lt;/LI&gt;
    &lt;LI&gt;drink milk...Calcium is a natural tranquilizer....dump the coffee... &lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;

&lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I I saw my GP and he gave me stuff to help me. Fingers cross it makes me sleepy. &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Ive packed two books, an iPad with fresh prince of bel air on it and my favourite chocolates. &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt; Saldly if I concentrate on my breathing I will freak out. Many doctors have tried to get me to do in and see how I react and are like and we will not be trying that again lol. &lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Thankyou for posting back &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You are pressing all the right buttons &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"&gt;🙂&lt;/span&gt; as sometimes the mega breathing can be counter productive...I get it.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Even a cell phone with a silly app on it can be a help...even a really annoying one....seriously...if you are busy with a distraction the anxiety/fear cant get a grip.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The ipad is a great idea and good on you Loula &lt;/P&gt;
