but I think maybe we are just more aware of it because of our health anxiety?

but I notice it every time I do it and then panic sets in that something is seriously wrong.

i try telling myself that something seriously is wrong, I have health anxiety!

Does anyone else mix up there words, or feel like they slur a bit? Not often do I do it. But due to my health anxiety I worry.

I haven't done it for months than bam last two days.

Does anyone know if my SSRI could cause this especially as I'm increasing my dose?

Or has anyone else done this?

Hey Mummybee,

Please don't be too worried, I didn't intend to worry you!

I do agree with you, because of our anxiety we stress more than we should and the more worry the worse it gets.

Id nearly lay money on it being anxiety, I've had MRI before and it was clear. If it was anything too drastic we'd have something else wrong too, I'm sure.

Stress does funny things to us. After thinking about it, I think if mine comes and goes it can't be really serious!

I would just like to assure you that I’m not stalking you just
happen to ask questions about things I have had some experience with.

The same medication can affect different people in different
ways. The particular SSRI I was taking normally keeps people awake but it put
me to sleep. We change the time of day that I took the tablet. I took it at
night so I could get some sleep, most people take it in the morning.

I did find at one time that occasionally I slurred a word
but I think this was due to tiredness.

My experience was when the doses were either changed up or
down it took my body a few weeks to get used to it and any side-effects I
experienced were worse in these periods. I had a great psychiatrist who was
prepared to say “I don’t know.” If I had a side-effect that was giving me
problems were generally just give it a bit longer to see if it went away or
slow the increase or decrease of the medication to lessen the effect.

If you find that this is concerning you a lot, contact your
psychiatrist and I will be able to have a look into it for you. This is part of
their job.

Hi again,

You made me laugh, a lot, thank you! I don't think you are stalking me at all!

I actually really appreciate your perspective on things!

I only started upping my dose like Monday I think, so I think I'll ride it out a bit, I see my Psycologist on Wednesday.

I am also very tired, the joys of a toddler who is a night owl lol! So that could be contributing.

Thank you for your advice, I really appreciate it!
