Hi all!

I'm Alice, ( the darker version of your regular Wonderland variety Alice.)

You can all just me Alice, or Ali, etc..

(or 'If you'll be my bodyguard,

I can be your long lost pal.

I can call you Betty,

And Betty when you call me

You can call me Al.')

My brain is a combination pinball machine and lyric/ quotation jukebox. A couple of words in the right context and just like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get... 😉

I'm a rapid cycling bipolar type 2 with a bunch of comorbid In-App-Purchases attached, and I swing harder than Sia does from a chandelier...

I'm broody, moody, depressed, angry,..

Yeah it's gets annoying pretty quickly...you should try it from this end. 😕

Thing is hun 'we're not crazy, we're just a little unwell. I know, right now you can't tell. But stay a while and maybe then you'll see, a different side of me'. Name that song ...(hint, Matchbox 20, but I reckon you knew that). It's my favourite about myself.

So, how are you at the moment Alice? Are you OK? Must say you sound like a lot of fun to me, but I also know it's far from fun in our heads a lot of the time.

May I ask what treatment you are receiving? I'm keen to know more about living with bipolar. If you want to share, I'm here to listen. And if you don't, I'll just sing along with you if that's OK. Love singing - ageing wannabe rock chick me. And I love that Meredith Brooks song. And no, I do not feel ashamed either! And I hope you don't.

I have to get off to work shortly, but I really hope you'll come back to us again for a chat later.

i admit, i thought this was a board I was on a couple of years back but they had mental health more subdivided, into afflictions of many kinds, icluding a specific one for bipolar.

this forum seems a lot more basic and generalised than the one I remember,

have they overhauled it recently, or am i just thinking of a different blue board?

that was a good forum, at the time I left they were trying to publish a book of art and poetry made by members called the bluebook or something...

good times.

Hiya Alice! I'm not sure about the forum you mention, I don't think this is it, but I've only been around for a short while. I haven't met any pirates here yet, sadly, though I'd like to. But there's loads of wise men (and women) and kind ladies (and men) here. Will we do? Hope so. 😄

Hey have you checked out any of the threads on the Community Board, there's one about favourite song lyrics, and loads of others. There's a cafe there too with heaps of great people, you're very welcome to join us if you'd like.

I work full time, so that's why I wasn't around when you were looking for me, I'm here most mornings and evenings though. But there's heaps of people around during the day if you want a chat.

Hope your day is full of happy songs today Alice! (Personally, I think Morrissey CDs make good frisbees, or ashtrays if you know how to melt them into shape. 😄😄)

was it the blueboard or the sane board closing? Your post made it sound like the blueboard . Is that different from this board?

it diesnt sound like this one is closing, when you join. Or is there and old blueboard and a bew beyond blueboard?
