Hi Mel2334

I’m sorry to hear that your son is experiencing issues, but glad that he has NDIS support.

I can certainly empathise with how hard it can be to watch your child struggle.

How are you holding up?

Please be sure to take good care of yourself. You can’t take care of him, unless you take good care of yourself first.

Try to eat well, get plenty of sleep and recharge your batteries often. When things are tough, even though it’s hard, try to take sometime to do something nice for yourself each day.

Kind thoughts to you

Hi Mel2334,

I have just read your other post and I am glad to hear you have good support and are looking after yourself.

Human beings can be so quick to judge, unaware of the damage it can do in people's lives. If they were to stop for a moment and think, they would realise that what is needed in that moment is empathy not judgement.

We can't control what others do, but we have a choice in how we react to what others do. Those who judge have likely never been in a situation where they needed the empathy of another and are therefore ignorant of the challenges that others face.

They don't know you, who you are, or what you have been through, so they have no excuse or reason to judge you but some will do it regardless. All you can do is do your best to let their judgements fall on deaf ears and allow yourself to remain confident and proud of who you are as an empathetic and loving human being. No one can take that away from you unless you allow it to happen, so remain strong and don't allow it.

Take good care of yourself and your children,

indigo 💜
