    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":heavy_large_circle:"&gt;⭕&lt;/span&gt;️&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;EM&gt; "I just don’t understand why ending the pain is something people aren’t supposed to do"&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;- Because doing so would be like throwing the baby out with the bathwater.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Oh, and one thing doesn't necessarily equate to the other:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":red_circle:"&gt;🔴&lt;/span&gt;️ Socialising&lt;/STRONG&gt; &lt;EM&gt;introduces&lt;/EM&gt; temptation for drugs and alcohol, but it is you who makes the call on how high (or low) that bar is set.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":red_circle:"&gt;🔴&lt;/span&gt;️ Getting clean&lt;/STRONG&gt; &lt;EM&gt;may include&lt;/EM&gt; exercise and sport (and are positive steps to take), but also requires retraining the brain to avoid relapse.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Dealing with &lt;STRONG&gt;perceived failure&lt;/STRONG&gt; is also a consideration needing more flexibility in thinking as we can expect too much from ourselves in the early stages (overcompensating) especially after setbacks where our confidence has been shaken:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;🟢️ your &lt;STRONG&gt;collarbone&lt;/STRONG&gt; &lt;EM&gt;will&lt;/EM&gt; heal in time.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;🟢️ you &lt;EM&gt;can&lt;/EM&gt; return to the &lt;STRONG&gt;gym&lt;/STRONG&gt; (walk, drive, or public transport?) - even sooner to work on other areas or find guidance from a trainer or physio to manage your injury while awaiting surgery.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;🟢️ you &lt;EM&gt;might&lt;/EM&gt; take up a less hazardous &lt;STRONG&gt;sport&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;🟢️ you &lt;EM&gt;can&lt;/EM&gt; &lt;STRONG&gt;socialise&lt;/STRONG&gt; but perhaps avoid 'participating' too much under the circumstances.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":light_bulb:"&gt;💡&lt;/span&gt;️ If not tried already, there are advisors here for extra support on the help lines:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.beyondblue.org.au/get-support/get-immediate-support" target="_self"&gt;&lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":small_blue_diamond:"&gt;🔹&lt;/span&gt;️immediate-support&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.beyondblue.org.au/support-service/chat" target="_self"&gt;&lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":small_blue_diamond:"&gt;🔹&lt;/span&gt;️chat&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.beyondblue.org.au/support-service/email" target="_self"&gt;&lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":small_blue_diamond:"&gt;🔹&lt;/span&gt;️email&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;All I do is absorb pain! Mental or physical the world doesn’t mind.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;god (yeh right) knows I’ve had an abundance of both.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;Socialising equals drugs alcohol &amp;amp; addiction.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;getting clean equals gym &amp;amp; sport…&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A POSITIVE!! You’d think so&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;But you’d be wrong!!&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Cos gym &amp;amp; sport equaled bursitis &amp;amp; a broken collar bone (first game) LOL&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;back to drinking. Back to drugs. Lost my partner. Living alone in one of those prison cell share house bs single occupancy mini apartments.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;cant socialise, cant train.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;On a waiting list for clavicle surgery.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;anyway I just wanted to vent. There’s nothing anyone can say or do.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;I just don’t understand why ending the pain is something people aren’t supposed to do&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your reply. It’s great to hear from anyone. It’s a long story but I was booked to see my psychologist and waited 7 weeks and I had notes and everything ready and she canceled a week before cos I hadn’t seen her enough times over a year.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;Why not tell me that 5 weeks ago.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;so I’m supposed to start all over again with someone new and pay all that money?&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;since then I’ve contacted online groups for help and it takes weeks maybe longer to see anyone.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;both parents are deceased. Sisters on drugs. No children. Alone.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;And can’t get help.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;So I type “thoughts of suicide” in Google and find this forum.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;can you tell me where I can speak to a professional about losing hope for life ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
