Hi, hope this forum is best for this

mid 20's male, interested in knowing how others have moved on from crushes when the other doesn't feel that way for you.

crush is part of a friend group. I have good support from family (though interstate) and a friend in this group (though I think it's wearing on them)

Google has quite useful ideas, I know I'll get over it one day and these take time to move on from, it's just on my mind a lot right now.

Thought it might be a good idea to hear what others have done (activities/actions/anything) that they felt really helped them moved on from a failed crush

Thankyou everyone and look after yourself

Hi,
It's always difficult when the crush is part of your friends group. It makes it harder to get past it if you see that person often.
Writing is one thing that helped me in situations like this. I write in my diary and I write poetry too. Writing my feelings out helps me to process them and put them in perspective.
I hope you can find a way of dealing with this that works for you. It may take time, but you will get through this.

FiftyShapes

Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing your story.

It is difficult finding the person you like dies not like you. It can be crushing.

I had a goof friend who told me he was not up fo any romantic involvement eith anyone.

Then after 6 months he found someone he wanted a romance with. I felt it was me he didn’t want and not romance.

Like Richie I use writing and music and lots of walking. Time does it better and I am glad you have support.

I try not to blame myself and to keep busy and to talk to friends.

Many people reading this will relate to your post.

Thank You Quirkywords and Rishie for responding 🙂

Yes, I've heard that a writing can help in this situation; I'll get onto trying that soon. It's just hard - she's part of quite a close knit friend group; others in the group are leaving town, so Valentine's Night was the last chance to spend quality time together (with the friends who are leaving) we end up going to the restaurant my crush's new boyfriend is the chef at... so an awkward night to be in the 5th wheel in...

but the other friends are leaving in two days, they have to pack and move, so I think it best to spend time at their convenience, rather than mine. When they leave, I have an opportunity to distance myself from the other person who I'm crushing on
