&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Waking the Tiger &lt;/EM&gt;Peter Levine&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;Trauma and Recovery&lt;/EM&gt; Judith Herman&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;There's a book about sexual trauma called &lt;EM&gt;Why Women are Blamed for Everything &lt;/EM&gt;by Dr. Jessica Taylor&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I'm working my way through these titles myself to help with CPTSD...&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>Hey All,
&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;So I'm not sure what/how to post here. 
&lt;BR /&gt;I've only recently started really trying to understand my trauma, and actively research it. 
&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;I could also do with meeting new people, those that have been through rough times.
&lt;BR /&gt;Support network isn't great, and I really want that to change.</description>

&lt;P&gt;I'm sorry you haven't had a reply that addresses your question. This is likely so as your question refers to a specific illness that isn't as popular as say depression or anxiety.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Well done in starting to research your problem, that is the most valuable step to coping with your issues.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I have below a few threads that might help you. The first is talking about brooding and the second is about positivity. I hope they help. In the meantime your thread will now return to the top of the list where it might be seen by a member that wants to comment. Good luck.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;I'm sorry that you don't have much support- that's definitely something that I can relate to!  Sometimes it can feel like a bit of a lonely process.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;We have a section here for PTSD and Trauma, I encourage you to have a look around.  CPTSD is talked about fairly often here.&lt;/P&gt;

Although I'm not qualified to refer to specific treatments or give specialised advice as a volunteer, my chosen treatment for PTSD worked wonders for me.  Please refer to 'White Knight's' links above and BB will be in touch if they haven't already to provide you with all the resources possible to suit your needs. &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In the meantime, I (amongst the rest of the community here)  can share my experience and offer you peer support if you need it &lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;I'm really glad that you've found some treatment that works for you- I just wanted to share that there are definitely some things you can share with us within the community rules.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;For example, I liked CBT/EMDR/DBT/ACT/essential oils/bananas is a-ok&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I liked Dr John/Woolworths Hospital/x pill/200mg is not-ok.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you feel like your chosen treatment might fit within the rules now I'm sure we'd all really appreciate it.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;great summary rt, many ppl get confused over these distinctions and ur post helps remind us all we can address our treatments if we don't mention specific names of doctors, medication names or dosages. &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I quite like mindfulness, body work, "grounding" techniques etc for PTSD.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I also feel that when finding a therapist for PTSD a lot of time and thought should go into it. Finding a trauma-sensitive therapist is no walk in the park!&lt;/P&gt;
