I’ve moved to a new town, back in with the parents after finish uni

Looking for work using my degree for 6 months now and nothing but knock backs

tried Getting into sports clubs but don’t have any friends yet

spending days alone, feeling lonely in crowded rooms

my Only friend here is my dad, which makes me feel pathetic

I don’t know what to do

Hi AG194,

Don't put too much pressure on yourself to find a way too quickly, sounds like you have been through a big move and it can be tough to be the new person in town.

I am no expert but try putting yourself out there and join some groups for activities or social events in your town. People are more receptive when they are enjoying themselves.

Well done on going to Uni, a lot of kids and parents don't even get that far, you should feel proud of yourself.

And it's great you have a Dad there to support you, many kids would love to have that.

Anyway, keep your chin up and focus on what you have and the rest will come.
