Hi all,

The past two years have been pretty tumultuous for me, with a lot of negative emotions and feelings encountered throughout. I've been trying to see the lessons learnt in each negative experience I've had, so I can take something away from it.

I wanted to start this thread to see what life lessons others have come across through their travels in this world, so that I and others could benefit from the experience gained.

I'll get the ball rolling:

◾ No job is worth sacrificing your happiness over.

So please, if you're happy and willing, share your own lesson(s) you've learnt and now stick to!

Hi Andy, a good thread.

-Just because you were once great at something does not mean you will forever be great at it, old age demands this.

-We don't know how to find love or how to be loved, so we keep learning as we go, even if it means
that we won’t find it right away.

-Being deeply loved by someone gives you <G class="gr_ gr_13 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-del replaceWithoutSep" id="13" data-gr-id="13">strength,</G> while loving someone deeply gives you courage

Everything in life takes practice.

There are so many more to add.

Geoff.

Hi MsPurple & Geoff,

Thanks for contributing 😊 All great lessons!

I'll add another:

◾ Life is mostly trial and error, but more of the latter.

Hi Andy and All,

Is the glass half empty or is it half full?

We have choices. We can drink what is in the glass and fill it up again, or we can tip out what is in the glass and decide what we would like to put in it next.

For me right now that means I can accept all that has happened in my life and I now have the power to put into my day what ever I desire within my capabilities!

Cheers all from Dools

Hi Dools 😊

That one really resonated with me. Do we choose to drink what is in our glass in order to finish it, even though it may not taste great- or do we take the chance, pour it all out, and try something else?

Another I can think of that links to that is:

◾ If a door doesn't open for you after repeated attempts, it's ok to accept that some doors are closed for a reason.
